Description:

Lead, plan, organize, and manage staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of the organization’s IT infrastructure; developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas, particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure, data communications, and telecommunications systems. The infrastructure manager maintains and reports status and progress IT infrastructure activities in the region.

Strategy & Planning
•Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to ensure IT infrastructure capacity meets existing and future requirements.
•Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and associated training plans for infrastructure administration and project management.
•Participate in the development of IT infrastructure strategies and budgets in collaboration with the executive team.
•Conduct research and make recommendations on products, services, protocols, and standards in support of all infrastructure procurement and development efforts.
•Establish service level agreements with business units.
•Provide guidelines and best practices on IT infrastructure for the operations to follow.

Acquisition & Deployment
•Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for infrastructure projects and associated efforts.
•Negotiate with vendors and contractors to secure infrastructure-specific products and services.
•Assist with the planning and deployment of infrastructure security measures.

Operational Management
•Manage and set priorities for the design, maintenance, development, and evaluation of all infrastructure systems, including LANs, WANs, Internet, intranet, security, wireless implementations, and so on.
•Coordinate efforts with all the operations in the region to maximize resources and standardized solutions.
•Conduct feasibility studies for various upgrade projects, improvements, and other conversions.
•Provide expert support to the operations to ensure timely resolution of infrastructure related issues
•Define hardware and software standards in conjunction with owners and stakeholders.
•Support network/server performance testing and provide network/server performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining overall IT infrastructure.
•Control operational costs; conduct near- and long-term financial forecasts for expanded functionality/user base.
•Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization’s executives, decision-makers, stakeholders, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent infrastructure activities.
•Lead IT asset management practices, including maintenance of component inventory and related documentation.
•Direct and manage network analysts and technicians and, when necessary, conduct performance reviews and corrective action.
•Ensure fact-based compliance of the business requirements, project status, infrastructure performance and support services based on appropriate business KPIs and KQIs.

 

Required Qualifications:

•A university degree or college diploma in the field of computer science
•A Master’s degree in a related field and Cloud Architecture certification will be an advantage

•Experience in Business Processes for IT and Telco’s (eTOM, ITIL Model preferably)
•5 years experience managing and delivering infrastructure design and operational excellence
•Exceptional knowledge of service and application delivery, as well as successful service level agreement accomplishments.
•3 year successful leadership of an infrastructure team
•Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware
•Knowledge of current protocols and standards, including SIGTRAN, TCP/IP, WAN, LAN
•Conversant with programming languages such as Java, JBoss, PhP, C++
•Knowledge in Operating Systems administration such as LINUX, UNIX, Windows Server
•Knowledge in virtual machines setup, administration and maintenance
•Advance knowledge in ORACLE and SQL database tuning and optimization
•Experience in interpreting the applicability of local and federal laws/regulations to company operations
•Experience in contract management
