Head of Brand and Communications | Ivory Coast

In charge of the Brand and Communications Department; contributing to the strategic goals, continually improving the present and future) performance of the company, creating team spirit based on the culture and stimulating innovation and customer focus throughout the operation

The brand communication investments:
– Including all internal and external consumers and customers
– Efficiently using the budget and tracking performance
– Delivering results according to the brand design & equity objectives

Consultancy for category and segment managers to develop the most efficient communication plans including and not limited to ATL, BTL, Digital Channels..
-Ensuring a common language across the organization
-Leading brand financial analysis
-Consulting with category, segment managers and innovation managers and agreeing on market and consumer understanding plans for communication
-Acquiring consumer insight information
-Creating information brief on communication market trends and competitive landscape
-Creating regular communication plan for the product development
-Increasing digital awareness and adoption
-Creating, increasing and optimizing brand visibility through company sales channels (own shop, PoS and partners)
-Identifying and participating on the hiring of communications agencies, media buying, media monitoring and any third parties related to communication improvement patents
-Managing and organizing company events
-Identifying and managing sponsorship opportunity aligned with brand and communication company strategy
-Interacting with internal customers to manage and organize corporate and business events
-Managing, supporting and executing trade marketing plan and materials through business entities and corporate customers

-Responsible for an effective flow of information and keeping internal customer well informed
-Responsible for leading Brand and Communication teams
-Meet and coordinate with the category managers
-Perform all managerial HR tasks in accordance with the People policies
-Ensure successor planning and professional development

-Report on brand and communication performance
-Translate commercial strategy into action plan in cooperation with the brand specialists and the consumer understanding manager
-Ensure that departmental action plan is implemented
-Responsible for optimal staff planning
-Determine which resources (financial, staffing and organization) and time schedules are required to achieve objectives
-Prepare budget and forecast
-Ensure cross-regional synergies
-Ensure that all internal and external communication is aligned with brand standards

-Supervise and agree on the business/brand communication plans and their execution with category managers
-Supervise and agree on all the media buying contract negotiations (ATL, BTL) done by the Brand Manager
-Understand the investment nature and aligns it with the business opportunities
-Define adequate valuation and expected negotiations specs for investments
-Map current brand position, identify new positioning opportunities and give feedback to management
-Validate the brand consistency in the product pipeline
-Give advice on customer perception about product performance to Category Managers
-Manage brand tracking
-Define and implement brand KPI aligned with brand standards
-Participate in the creation of new products
-Deliver monthly brief of market trends and competitive landscape

Required Qualifications:

University degree, preferable in marketing, social, communication or arts…(preferably brand management)
Master – a plus
5+ years of experience in the similar position
5+ years of Senior Marketing and Managerial Experience
Project Management Experience
Media-digital Management and Procurement Experience
Business and Communication Plan Experience
Trade Marketing Experience
Basic Finance and Pricing Experience
Consumer Psychology & Behavior
Research (Quantitative & Qualitative)
Knowledge of Math & statistics (trend & root cause analysis)
Fluent French and good English
