Key Responsibilities:

Only candidates authorized to work in Madagascar will be considered.

This role offers the opportunity to conduct negotiations, complex offers, make a strategic choice of suppliers and manage multiple calls for tenders / price requests, end to end. This will include supplier management, quarterly price reviews – which largely depend on raw material costs, contract management, continuous improvement of equipment and service, and monthly performance reviews. The Buyer will interact with international suppliers located all over the world and with internal stakeholders.

• Identify potential new suppliers in order to create challenges for existing suppliers
• Manage the confidentiality agreement process
• Preparation of the price request document (scope of work, due diligence, price model)
• Perform supplier assessment (results sheet by operating company and by supplier, due diligence analysis, level of compliance, etc.)
• Conduct negotiations with the supplier based on a total cost of ownership analysis
• Provide progress reports to the group’s supply chain manager
• Daily update of the plan to make the choice of suppliers for the supply chain
• Preparation of the presentation and documentation necessary for the approval of a supplier
• Coordination of the discussion around contracts with legal and internal stakeholders
• Lead the contract negotiation with the supplier
• Management of suppliers
• Identify continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers and coordinate their implementation
• Manage and coordinate monthly / quarterly supplier reviews
• Any other task reasonably required by the department manager

Required Qualifications:

Diploma / Business Studies Diploma in Procurement
Relevant experience of at least 5 years in the process or performance engineering
Operational experience working in Africa
Direct purchasing experience
Industry / MCIPS certifications (Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply)
Any other specification work experience in a large listed organization / organization
Fluent French and good English
